Not only would art as a form of paint and sketch but crafts and architecture would play a great role in the emergence of Art Nouveau. Many artists featured in this book felt that it was time to break with traditional impressionism and begin using their imagination and artistic fantasy again. Unfortunately, Art Nouveau period lasted only a short time because it had, "enough strength and wrath to break with the past but not enough to build a future," (1967). The images contained in this postcard book represent only a fraction of the work created by thousands of artists who were seeking to break away from the mundane work of the mid-18th century. The book has a crease across the middle but it does not detract from the internal binding. A LARGE BOOK THAT WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FREIGHT.
