Description

Ski-Plane Adventure. Flying in the New Zealand Alps. Harry Wigley was the elder son of Rudolph Wigley, who pioneered motor transport to the Hermitage, Mount Cook, designed an before-its-time tractor, and took to active flying at an age when most men were thinking of retirement. Harry Wigley greatly admired " the old man" and followed his example of vigorous and unorthodox pioneering. He was educated at Christ's College and in the cockpits of a variety of small and temperamental early aeroplanes, this book tells the story of his flying life. Some tape ghosting around the edges of the dust jacket and book covers where the clear library cover has been removed. Some scribbling on the inside front page but the book remains in a tidy condition. Ex Library Book with all the usual stamps and markings.
