Description

The Angler's Encyclopaedia by Colin Willock. Since no man is born an angler, as Izaak Walton said, anglers have been writing instructive treatises for one another from the fifteenth century onward. In later days, catching fish for fun has become a very serious business indeed, increasingly specialised and complicated, with a huge body of literature on its various aspects. Anglers are inveterate arguers. Here at last, enclosed within two covers, is the means whereby they may settle any piscatorial questions lying between Alevin (the young of salmon and trout) and Zander (Luciopera lucioperca, usually called pike0perch). The dust jacket has medium general wear but price unclipped. The book has light age staining down the page edges but remains in a tight and tidy condition.
