Webster Now, forty years on, Mr Webster continued with 112 pages of history, gleaned through meticulous research into the minutes of both North and St Paul's Parishes, as well as newspaper reports. Indeed Mr Webster noted that there were more details available through the daily newspaper than in the official church records. This centenary book seeks to extend that record to June 2005, the hundredth anniversary of the occasion reported in the Southland Times on June 1905, under the heading 'Opening of North Invercargill Church' and also in the St Paul's Jubilee Booklet which records it thus: "The North Invercargill Branch Church was opened on 4 June 1905 by the Rev J. C. Jamieson , , ,'
