Description

Veteran and Edwardian Motor Cars by David Scott-Moncrieff. "This has been a difficult book to write: the great problem was not to put in, but what to leave out. So, if the reader finds that data about his favourite Vilbrequin-Manivelle (23.8 h.p., 1906) has been omitted, together with an account of the Bedworthy Magna speed trials (August, 1907), I trust he will forgive me. There wasn't anything like room for all. There are other omissions of quite well-known cars, simply because the documentation does not exist in this country, and I thought that the reader would rather have authenticated facts about less important cars than flannel padding on the better known ones". - From the Preface by the Author. The book has light to medium general wear with age stains down the page edges and some creasing of the covers. The black and white plates appear to be all present and the binding is holding together for the present.
