Description

Reach for the Sky: The Story of Douglas Bader by Paul Brickhill. This is the story of a man who has become a legend in his lifetime, of Douglas Bader who was discharged from the R. A. F. after losing both legs in an air crash in 1931, and who fought his way back to become one of the great heroes of the Battle of Britain. But the war was only an episode in a greater victory, his triumph over a disability which one would call crippling had he not deprived the world of its meaning. The dust jacket has medium general wear with small tears and tape repair and scuffing along the edges but the price is unclipped. The front pastedown page has been neatly trimmed and removed but the book remains in a tidy condition.
