Description

Green Kiwi by Temple Sutherland. 'Mr Temple Sutherland was still in his teens when he started out for New Zealand, to which he travelled as a prospective farm-hand. On the North Auckland farm where he started work, he learned a great deal about the country and a good deal about hard labour, too. Green Kiwi is the record of some of his experiences in his life there, before the Second World War. Mr Sutherland writes as soberly and yet as romantically as a true Scot, and has given a loving picture of the country he chose.' The dust jacket has much wear with small tears down the edges and scuffing on the corners but the price remains unclipped. The book has medium general wear with previous owners names whited-out and scribbled pen. The binding remains tight and pages bright.
